To respond to Bill's comment about appropriate investments Check the IRS site I believe somewhere it says "annuities, mutual funds, or other approved investments." Quickly consulting my series 7 manual, I find the following in reference to 403(b)'s, " plans may offer mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and CD's as investment vehicles."
